COHEMIS International conference on green communities


The Center for Hemispherical Cooperation in Research and Education in Engineering and Applied Science (CoHemis) of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, hold the CoHemis International Conference of Green Communities on June, 2008. The event took place at The Ramón Figueroa Chapel Amphitheater. People from different countries participated in this event. The sustainable development of communities was discussed from an educational, social, scientific and engineering perspective. Prominent international engineers, architects, educators and scientists specialized in the field, served as speakers.

Audience at the CoHemis Conference

The conference was organized around significant topics such as, water management, transportation, social issues, planning and design, infrastructure, renewable energy, and organic agriculture, among others; distributed in fifteen seminars.
