Presentation of the third volume of Complete Works of Ramón Emeterio Betances

The Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, announced the recent publication of the third volume of "Complete Works of Ramón Emeterio Betances", a volume dedicated to compile and evaluate the literary works of the illustrious Puerto Rican physician.

Publishing the dispersed work of Dr. Betances was a major project under the editorial direction of Dr. Felix Ojeda Reyes, academic researcher at ICS. The work was the result of a close working partnership with the University of Paris VIII. The French part of the investigation was led by editor Dr. Paul Estrade, a Emeritus Professor at the University of Paris. Ojeda and Estrade have been working for years, compiling and editing hundreds of documents and archives from around the world to produce a 15-volume collection of Betances' complete works. This work shows Betances expertise at writing papers, political essays, personal letters, proclamations, press articles, and speeches.
